John Sandlin

President

Founded Clarendon Properties in 2008 and is involved in every aspect of the business — locating, analyzing, and recommending opportunities for commercial development. Brings an extensive background in commercial real estate development, finance, and asset and operations management, having developed numerous retail projects, dental offices, and hotels (primarily Hilton and Marriott). Holds a BA from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business, is a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI), and a licensed Broker In Charge. Active in the Wilmington community through Cameron Executive Network, the United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Wrightsville United Methodist Church, and New Hanover County Meals on Wheels, among others.

Gale Wallace

Vice President / Broker

Joined Clarendon Properties in 2012 and has over 40 years of real estate experience, with an extensive design, construction, and property management background and a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. This diverse experience allows her to review and negotiate purchase agreements and development contracts, assist in site selection and research, and coordinate and assist in the design of the hotels, retail spaces, and medical offices — she is heavily involved in the oversight of the many facets of project development, including construction and FF&E purchasing and installation. Raised in Detroit, Michigan, she and her family relocated to Wilmington, NC in 2004. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University, holds a North Carolina Broker's license, and is an active member of Cape Fear CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).

Jack Sandlin

Project Manager / Broker

Over five years with Clarendon Properties, Jack has worked across the firm's hotel development pipeline — including projects under the Hilton and Marriott flags — supporting deal underwriting and project execution from acquisition through delivery. As project manager, he coordinates closely with management companies, architects, civil engineers, general contractors, and brand representatives to guide projects from initial planning through construction and opening. An avid golfer and active member of the Wilmington community, he volunteers with Weekend Meals on Wheels and First Tee of Greater Wilmington.

Lisa Morris

Operations Manager

Joined Clarendon Properties in 2019 as Operations Manager, bringing 25+ years of business operations management, financial administration, and customer service experience — most recently as closing coordinator and operating/trust account manager for a Wilmington commercial real estate firm. Her main responsibilities center on financial oversight for project budgets and monthly reporting, and her broad experience also supports hotel and retail development through reviewing leases, purchase agreements, and development contracts. Raised in Wake Forest, NC, she relocated to Wilmington in 2009 and is the proud mother of 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Cohen and Noah Claire, who are her world.
